Auditions
The All-East/All-State auditions are the first step for admission into the All-East and All-State Choruses for students in grades 10-12. The top-scoring student in each voice part is awarded the annual ETVA scholarship. The auditions provide an opportunity for students to distinguish themselves in a private audition and are good practice for future scholarship and college-entrance auditions.
Please refer to the policy manual for specific info on this event and job descriptions.
The ETVA membership voted in the Fall 2009 meeting to implement addition
of a sight-reading element into the All-East/All-State audition process
beginning in Fall 2010. Click the sightreading link below for information on
procedure, the format, the scoring, and other details concerning the new
procedure. (Sight-reading results will be reported in
2010, but will NOT be considered in placing students in
All-East/All-State until 2011.)
Auditions for the 2010-11 year will be held on September 18.
2010 at Heritage High School, Maryville. (The
location was originally scheduled for Bearden High School, but is moved to
Heritage effective 6/16/2010.) Please check the ETVA calendar regularly for updated information.
